Thicker stumps (at ground level, including visible roots) mean more work. With several stumps at one address, the price per stump is usually lower – the overall job is still larger.
Guide prices, what affects the price, and how you can save. Always a fixed quote tailored to your job.
Based on our quote form and the photos you send (form or WhatsApp) you receive a fixed price for stump grinding. No call-out fee – you know where you stand.
Costs typically fall between these amounts. On large stumps and grinding deeper than 20 cm (up to about 40 cm) the surcharge can be substantial.
These are guide prices only. The exact price follows from your photos, measurements and access. Every quote is a fixed contract price – no call-out fee.

Standard about 20 cm. Deeper grinding to about 40 cm costs more.
Stones, tiles, concrete or metal around the stump: if you clear them yourself, it is not extra work. If we do it, we charge for that work.
Access (gate, path) rarely determines the price. What does matter: whether the stump is free to grind, or whether stone and tiles must be removed first.
About 20 cm deep is almost always enough for paving, tiles, plants and lawn. That is our standard.
Deeper grinding to about 40 cm costs more. On large stumps that extra can be substantial – up to roughly double the standard price, depending on diameter and conditions.

Prep work lowers the cost. The cleaner and freer the stump, the faster we can grind.
Clear about 50 cm from the trunk around the stump of stone, tiles, concrete, rubble and metal. The grinder needs free soil or sand. Doing this yourself reduces the quote; we can do it (surcharge) but we do not relay paving.
If we need to grind to about 40 cm, it helps if a trench around the stump is already dug. Less soil to move while grinding = faster and often cheaper.
Grinding produces chips mixed with soil. If someone can shovel them aside between passes, we can keep grinding. That saves time and cost.
Keep cars, bikes and glass away from the grinder. That avoids extra protection measures and keeps the job moving. See also preparation for stump grinding.
